Financial Administrator
A Financial Administrator opportunity where your attention to detail keeps daily financial operations accurate and on track.

In this role, you will work in a team environment to support the daily financial activities and general operations of Watson’s, an agricultural trucking and equipment company. The ideal candidate will be familiar with basic accounting practices, diplomatic and self-motivated, and willing to learn.

Description:

Job responsibilities include:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions to ensure accurate and complete records
  • Maintain accurate financial excel spreadsheets for transport billing and client accounts
  • Prepare customer invoices, reviewing all supporting transportation documentation
  • Calculate daily driver pay from customer invoicing and prepare preliminary bi-weekly payroll
  • Process customer payments, track account status and send bill reminders as needed
  • Complete quarterly fuel tax submission
  • Engage professionally with customers in-person, by telephone or email
  • File paperwork and keep financial records organized, both paper and electronic
  • Provide other administrative support as required.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a financial administrative role
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Excel
  • Must be knowledgeable of basic accounting principles
  • Previous experience in agricultural and/or transportation business preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical individual with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Builds positive rapport with customers with professional and diplomatic phone etiquette
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; adaptable to shifting priorities
  • Self-motivated, dedicated, and positive individual with a desire to learn.

 

This position is a full-time role, Monday to Friday business hours.
Competitive wage based on experience.
